📸 Running Out of Storage? My Top 3 Photo Storage Tips for Online Entrepreneurs
Running out of space on your phone? Can’t find that one photo you know you took? Been there. 🙋♀️
As an online entrepreneur, our phones are basically walking hard drives. But when you start getting the dreaded “storage full” message, it’s time for a cleanup. Here are a few tried-and-true ways I store and organize my content without losing my mind (or my photos).
1️⃣ Google Photos/icloud to the rescue
If you’re not already using cloud storage, start now.
- iCloud automatically backs up your photos and lets you access them from all devices. Once you know they’re safely in the cloud, delete them from your phone to free up space.
- Google Photos is my personal favorite (I’m a Samsung girl, don’t come for me 😜). It automatically backs up everything, and then you can tap “Free up space on this device” to delete the local copies.
Both options are super easy and mostly free (you may need to upgrade storage eventually).
2️⃣ Trello (My Secret Weapon)
If you’ve never used Trello, let me break it down:
Think of it like a digital filing cabinet. Each board is a drawer, and each card inside that board is a file folder.
You can upload images directly to cards, label them, and view them from your phone or laptop. It’s an extra step, sure… but it’s free, organized, and searchable.
You can check it out at trello.com.
3️⃣ Facebook (The Hidden Backup)
Yep, you can actually use Facebook for content storage.
Here’s how: create a private group that only you (or maybe one trusted person) can access. Then upload your photos or graphics into albums, or just drop and go.
⚠️ Small warning: Facebook can occasionally deactivate or lock accounts, so always have a backup plan. Either:
A) Add your spouse or biz bestie to the group so they can access it if needed, or
B) Keep a second storage method like Google Photos just in case.
Sure these all take an extra step to do. But freeing up that phone storage, having things backed up in a few places will totally save you. Because nothing sucks more than knowing you have a picture of something but you can’t find it anywhere. And all 3 options are free (unless you need extra storage in google)
Sure, these take a little extra effort up front — but trust me, freeing up that phone storage and knowing everything’s safely backed up will totally save you later. Because nothing’s worse than remembering a perfect photo… and realizing it’s gone.
And the best part? All three of these options are free (unless you need a bit more space in Google).
