🗓️ Plan Ahead Like a Pro: April Content Ideas for Online Entrepreneurs
April always feels like spring cleaning season. Windows start opening, the house feels fresher, and everyone is gearing up for summer vibes. But it can also feel like a lot with the end of the school year coming up fast.
But if you look at your calendar, plan ahead, and schedule content, your business will keep running… while you’re busy running around life.
Let’s break it down
🌸April Highlights
Easter • Spring • Windows Open • Cleaning • Coming Out of Hibernation
These are the big themes this month. Here’s how they can work for your business 👇
🍳 Food People
Now might be a great time to talk about food expirations (especially those spices we’ve had sitting in the cabinet for 13 years). You could also start sharing some lighter recipes or even early grilling ideas as people start thinking about warmer weather
💍 Jewelry People
Is there such a thing as a spring jewelry refresh? Lighter pieces that feel better for warmer days. Fashion week happened in February and March, so now is a great time to look at predicted trends and show how real people can wear them.
🧺 Cleaning & Organizing People
Spring cleaning is huge this month. People want open windows and lighter spaces. Help them simplify without overwhelming them. And April showers are real, so help all of us pet owners deal with those never-ending muddy paw prints.
🕯️ Scent People
With windows open, scent escapes faster. How can you help people keep their homes smelling good? Also, people are starting to travel more. Can you help scent their car? Their suitcase? Even hotel rooms?
💄 Makeup & Skincare People
No one wants heavy makeup in the summer, so now is a great time to start talking about transitioning routines. Think lighter products, ways to set makeup for hot days, and sunscreen — because most of us are just emerging from the house after not seeing the sun for months.
Sometimes content really is as simple as asking yourself:
What’s happening in my life this month?
What are you doing this spring?
How are you dealing with muddy paw prints?
What foods are you craving now that winter is ending?
Your life is content.
Don’t overthink it — sharing your life is content
🗓️ A Few Fun Days to Try:
- April 2 – PB & J Day Food people, upgrade it! But everyone else can play along too. Think about things that go together like PB & J — color combos, scent blends, outfit pairings, etc.
- April 5 – Easter There are so many directions you could go with this. One tip: talk about Easter ideas in the few days before Easter. Then on the actual day, just wish everyone a great day and enjoy time with your family.
- April 9 – National Unicorn Day Bold, fun, fruity, candy, fluffy vibes. Unicorns are all about fun and happiness. Share bright colors, playful scents, colorful outfits, or recipes.
- April 13 – International Plant Appreciation Day Share your plants! Or plant-inspired things in your business. Plant-based skincare, green jewelry, plant scents, or even recipes using herbs like basil.
- April 16 – National High Five Day Give your customers a virtual high five. Thank them. Appreciate them. This can literally just be a quick appreciation post.
- April 22 – Earth Day Do you have recycled or eco-friendly products? Can your products be reused or recycled? Food people can talk about composting. Jewelry people could show how to style old outfits to make them feel new again.
- April 30 – Honesty Day Ask for reviews. This is the perfect day to shamelessly ask for honest feedback. Then use those reviews later in your marketing.
Almost any day — no matter the “theme” — can be adapted for any business. Use these ideas to build a content bank, then move things around as needed. That flexibility is the goal.
Every day has something worth posting about. So sit down today (March 20) and plan out five April posts/reels/stories. Schedule them. Then add two more later. Your future self will 100% thank you.
