I’m the chick who likes to organize.
Give me a closet or pantry and let me go at it.
Putting away groceries is fun.
But running a business…organizing time and info…that was a different beast.

Before all this online business stuff, I was a massage therapist. We also owned rental properties.
Those businesses?
I had them organized.
Then I started this online direct sales thing. I wanted to treat it like a business.
But I struggled hard core at first.
I searched YouTube and Facebook groups.
This was a different sort of business. There was content needing scheduled, thank yous, follow ups, etc.
Did I remember Jill wanted those 3 bars?
Wait, did I send Sara a thank you for her order?
Crap, I need to post on social.
And, wasn’t I supposed to send a sample to someone?
I felt like a fish out of water for sure. But I was determined.
I bought planners.
I bought notebooks.
I tried the 3-3-3 method, the 2-2-2 method.
I tried notecards. I tried binders.
Every one of them had something I liked.
But none of them fit how my brain worked.
So I took pieces of this…
Pieces of that…
Mixed in my own brain…
My own life…
And slowly built something that actually worked for me.

Yep…an actual look at one of the ways I get things out of my brain and onto paper.
I started making my own path, my own system, my own business.
I didn’t know it at the time, but I was basically building what would eventually become Organized Online Entrepreneur.
I figured out that I hated to remember things. Regular life has enough to remember. I didn’t want to have to take up brain space to remember all those little business things. But I knew they needed to be done.
I created trackers, planners, binders, spreadsheets. I created it all. Tweaked it all, multiple times. And honestly, I still to this day keep tweaking.
Looking back…
I think that’s where Organized Online Entrepreneur actually started.
Not because I wanted to sell planners. I mean I love a good planner and I love making them.
I got tired of using my brain as a to-do list.
I was tired of remembering.
Basically…
I wanted a personal assistant.
Since I couldn’t afford one…
I built systems instead.

Organized doesn’t mean perfect. Exhibit A: real life, a laptop and a cat supervising the whole thing.
I started OOE because I thought I wanted to design trackers and planners for everyone. And I mean I do, but it is more than that.
I wanted to help other online and small business owners do the behind-the-scenes stuff a smidge easier. Customer follow-ups, content planning, emails, bookkeeping…all those little things that have to happen to keep a business running.
It doesn’t have to feel like you’re constantly drowning.
Organized Online Entrepreneur isn’t really about planners.
Or trackers.
Or spreadsheets.
Those are just the tools.
It’s really about simple business organization and systems that help your brain breathe a little.
Doing the behind-the-scenes stuff without feeling like you’re constantly trying to remember one more thing.
Because after all these years…
I still believe the same thing I did when I made my very first spreadsheet.
There has to be a better way.
And most of the time…
There is.
Sometimes done really is good enough.
