1 Warmer 4 Seasons

I say this all the time I’m not a great decorator.

I also say this all the time when we’re talking about warmers…

You don’t need a different warmer for every season.

Pick one you love and change the stuff around it.

Sooooo I decided we should actually try it.

I’m taking one $25 warmer, putting it on the same end table, and we’re going to take it from Halloween → Thanksgiving → Christmas → winter.

And we’re not spending a fortune doing it.

We are not going to need a whole tote for all the decorations either (who has that space?).

We are going to break it down: tips, tricks, ideas, and more.

The warmer

This is the White Fluted warmer

It is simple

It is small

It is super neutral, a blank canvas, you could say

It has the same punch as a large warmer

It is cheap at $25

Now, if you already have a warmer you love, use it. These ideas are NOT just for THIS warmer. Use it for your warmer

Step One: Shop your house

No matter the season, shop your house first.

Look for faux flowers (even those missing some; you’ll see later)

Cutting boards

Holiday decor

Piece of wood (my favorite)

Don’t have a tray? That’s okay.

This warmer is about coaster size. Use a coaster.

Have an old book? Turn it around so the spine isn’t showing.

Fold up a seasonal towel or piece of fabric.

Have none of that?

Put the warmer directly on the table.

You do not need to go buy a base just because I said “base.” 😂

Step Two: Give Your Warmer a Little Height

For this little demonstration (is it a demo?), anyway, we are going to pretend the warmer is on an end table. But you put it wherever you want your warmer to be.

You want to give a smidge of height to the warmer. It is the star of the show; we are just giving her backup dancers.

So this is where you grab your house things. A cork coaster, a piece of wood. I love a book turned so the spine is in the back and the pages are out. A piece of seasonal fabric.

Something under your warmer to give a little height, but doesn’t overpower the space.

Step Three: Add Halloween

We’ve got that warmer placed somewhere, and on something if we want. Now we give her backup dancers.

Remember our goals. Not a lot of stuff needed, and we don’t want to store a lot of stuff.

Here’s my 80/20 rule for this little experiment.

I want MOST of what we use to stay from one season to the next.

Then we’ll swap out just a few things that scream that particular holiday.

For Halloween, our pumpkins and fall florals stay.

The ghosts, tombstones, and bones? Those are getting kicked out come November. 😂

Not a ton of pumpkins. But some. Different sizes and textures. Follow your heart, then add or subtract at least one lol. Trust me on that.

A few inexpensive ones I’ve found

• Small Chunky knit ones for $1 at Target (always check Target). They are different colors too. See them here
• I love these 8 ct mini filler pumpkins. Different colors too. only $5. Check them out

Now that we have our 80%, we add our 20%. Halloween.

Think a few ghosts, tombstones, cauldrons. Check those Dollar Tree, Walmart cheap spot, and Target Dollar Spot always. Oh, don’t forget Hobby Lobby and Michael’s too. They always have sales

The Halloween pieces, you are going to nestle in your pumpkins. Now this needs to be seen a smidge more than your pumpkins. it is like the A-squad backup dancers, and pumpkins are the B-squad lol.

I also, truly on Saturday, bought a bag of little bones at Dollar Tree for a true $1. 18 bones in the bag, 4″ long each. These are perfect. Just put two criss-cross in front.

Step Four: Fill In The Holes

Now the last piece. This can be omitted if you want. Step back and look…does it feel good? If so, stop. If not. Go to Walmart or Dollar Tree or wherever has faux flowers. Just follow me. Find a fall vibe one; think oranges, browns, tans, dark purple, sunflowers, dark reds. Buy ONE stem of a floral arrangement. Not just 1 flower. But there are times when there are, like, a bouquet of sorts

See how it has many different things? Ok ready, rip them off the stems. Yep. I do this all the time. They should just pop right off the plastic stem. And just wedge them into your area to fill in the gaps.

Step back, rearrange, look, etc.

Step Five: Stop

And that is it. Stop. Walk away and be proud of it. Because honestly, you could fiddle with it all day every day.

Starting from scratch and purchasing this warmer = $40.

Already have a warmer, then maybe $10-$13 for the backup dancers

But could be less depending on what you have. The point…don’t go crazy and huge. And remember, we are using some of it for thanksgiving/fall. So longevity matters.

On Oct 31st, you can be sad. But don’t tear it down. Just pull out the ghosts and the bones, and then come back here, and we will spruce it up for Thanksgiving.
