Let's making cleaning a smidge better
Cleaning can sometimes just be a pain in the butt. So i have some tips, tricks and maybe even some tools to help you make is a smidge better. I think the only thing that can make it better…Hire it out lol
Cleaning hack: change your wax as the first thing you do!
Motivation happens AFTER action – so if you start with something easy that creates joy, it is easier to get started on cleaning.
Cleaning hack: Cotton clean ups or just cotton balls make changing wax super simple. Turn on your warmer, when the wax is liquid just throw the balls or the clean up in your warmer. Cotton soaks it up and boom done. Truly the easiest way. Clean ups have the little cotton tab on top so no mess. And if you still see white on it, then keep using it. Turn it and put it in sideways, and smoosh it, if you want tear off the top and use that. I can get 6-8 cubes of wax in 1 cotton clean up. Cotton balls = about 2 per cube of wax.
Cleaning hack: Clean those dishes! Cinnamon and clove type scents tend to leave a residue on the bottom of the dish. It is just the nature of the scent. A clean dish gives you the best scent. Think about it, when you reheat the dish, that gunk mixes with the wax you just stuck in there. So cleaning your dishes is important. And i’ve got 2 easy tips.

Black Raspberry vanilla wax. Seriously. I’ve tested it, i promise. Take a few cubes of brv, and warm it in your dirty dish. Not long. Give it maybe 10 mins after it is liquid. Take the wax, and pour it back into the clamshell if you want to use it later. Then go and immediately wipe the dish with cotton, paper towel, or whatever. And your dish should wipe clean pretty darn easily. Like really. You may need to scrub the corners/edges. Otherwise, it is easy flipping peasy

Rubbing Alcohol. This is my favorite and honestly, i think the easiest. Use regular rubbing alcohol, like from Kroger, normal stuff. Cover the bottom of the dish and just wipe. You can sometimes even see the gunk swirl right off. It is wild. It is sooooo easy. Like zero effort.
If you use power tools, it makes cleaning more “satisfying” and your partner/kiddos may be more likely to help. I got this Rubbermaid one for christmas. I’ve used it to scrub the sink, the stove top, the counter, and the fridge. It is super simple to use too. I spray counter clean on the counter or sink and just scrub away. https://amzn.to/47lD83u
Get yourself a washable shower curtain! The inside curtain can get buildup, but you can soak it in bleach (if needed) and toss it in the wash. We did this for a long time. It does help and it does wash. I was super skeptical. But i mean you can’t wash it 100xs
The Scentsy bathroom cleaner foams up so nicely with this scrubber and helps so much with the grime and build up! Spray your shower about 5 mins before taking a shower. grab your scrubber or whatever you are going to use, scrub it down, then take your shower. Rinse the shower down when you get in the shower. It truly makes the process easier. Then I also use it on the toilet and it does wonders
Don’t forget to spray down the couches and rugs and curtains with scentsy fresh…especially the couch. Because let’s be honest it is going to smell like farts.
Last step, make sure you switch out the hand soap or refill it. Be it scentsy or wherever. But double check to make sure you are good and it smells good!
Cleaning doesn’t have to suck. It doesn’t have to smell super harsh either. Don’t knock our products until you try them. Truly. I know i was skeptical in the beginning. But it is all we use in our house!
