How to Clean Your Scentsy Diffuser (Without the Stress)

Regular daily cleaning 🧼
Let’s be real—most of us don’t deep clean our diffusers every day. But a quick daily wipe-down? Totally doable. Here’s what helps:
- Empty the water and oil: After each use, dump out any leftover water and oil. (If there’s anything left, that is—Scentsy diffusers shut off when empty, so you should be good.)
- Wipe the reservoir: Use a soft, damp cloth to clean out the inside. Oils are heavier than water (throwback to science class!), so sometimes there’s a little residue at the bottom.
- Rinse and dry: Swish with clean water, wipe dry, and you’re done!

Some oils are just…gunkier. If your diffuser is feeling a little grimy, it’s time for a refresh. Here’s how:
- Vinegar soak: Empty your diffuser, fill it with water, and add 2-3 tablespoons of vinegar. Let it run overnight. (Yes, really.)
- Hot water wipe-down: In the morning, use hot water to wipe out all those oily leftovers. The heat helps break everything down, so your diffuser feels clean, not slick.
- Clean the little disk at the bottom: Grab a Q-tip dipped in vinegar, hot water, or rubbing alcohol—whatever works best for the gunk level.
- Don’t forget the outside! Wipe down the body and the cone part of the diffuser, too.
