Oil types can feel confusing.
Im going to hopefully break it down for you super simple. And you can wow your friends later.

Natural Oils, Blends, and Essential Oils… What’s the Difference?!
I know, I know—it can feel totally overwhelming.
Like, does it really matter? We’re mostly using them to make things smell good, right? 🤷♀️
But if you’re even a little curious, let’s break it down suuuper simply.
So fun fact: back in my past life (circa 2009), I was a licensed massage therapist. One of my favorite things was using aromatherapy to customize your experience—think special lotions or oils based on how you were feeling that day. So while I’m not a scientist, I’ve got a smidge of real-life experience here.
Here’s the quick and easy breakdown:
🌿 Natural Oils
These come from things like plants, nuts, or seeds—totally natural sources.
They’re typically used more for fragrance than deep therapeutic purposes.
Think: naturally derived, smells great, super user-friendly.
🍓 Natural Oil Blends
These are a combo of natural oils and essential oils.
The goal? To create a layered, unique scent.
Like that juicy Blackberry Basil or a sweet citrus herbal blend—basically a little magic mix of both worlds. 🍊🌿
💧 Essential Oils
These are more concentrated and usually more potent.
They come straight from super aromatic plants—flowers, roots, seeds, bark—you name it.
100% pure essential oils are just that: no fillers, no blends, just the real deal.
They’re often a bit thinner in texture, but that doesn’t mean much unless you’re blending them yourself.
Bottom line?
If you’re just in it for the vibes and the amazing scents, you’re good no matter what.
But if you do like knowing what you’re diffusing or want to mix and match your own scents, now you know what’s what!
