Scent Circles: Honest Answers to Common Questions
Scent Circles are one of those products that seem super simple… but I get a LOT of questions about them.
So I figured we’d answer them all here, in one spot.

How long do Scent Circles really last?
Honest answer: it depends on placement, airflow, and how “nose blind” someone gets.
If you hang one in a big room, it’s not going to go far — there’s nothing actively throwing the scent.
In my car, I usually get about two weeks from one circle.
If I tape one inside my trash can lid, I can get close to a month (unless I’ve got some real stinky trash 😅).
Why does my Scent Circle stop smelling?
Well… because it’s done. LOL.
There’s only so much scent in anything. Think about perfume — it doesn’t last for days because the scent disperses into the air, fabrics, and surroundings. Same thing with Scent Circles. Once the fragrance is used up, it’s gone.
Another big reason is nose blindness. It’s a real thing, and I break it down more here 👉 Check out info on nose blindness blog
Can I make a Scent Circle last longer?
Ummm… kinda. Sorta. Ish.
You can leave the circle partially sealed in the plastic and only open it a little at a time.
Some consultants swear by lightly rubbing the same scent of wax on the circle (just a smidge) or spraying it with the matching room spray. If you try that, just make sure it’s completely dry — you don’t want anything dripping.
Are Scent Circles strong?
They’re not meant to replace a warmer, pods, or a diffuser. There’s nothing mixing or pushing the scent.
That said, they’re perfect for small or temporary spaces, even with lighter scents.
Why are they so cheap? Are they “less than”?
Heck. To. The. No.
They’re great. I always refer to them as a way to “test drive” a scent or switch fragrances often.
Think about those cardboard tree air fresheners — no one questions their price.
We keep Scent Circles affordable so they’re an easy add-on to try something new.
How many Scent Circles should I use in one space?
As many as your heart desires… lol.
But truly, more doesn’t equal stronger. They are great for blending scents, though.
I personally use one circle at a time in my car. And adding a new circle to a “dead” one won’t give it CPR 😂 — toss the old one.
Where should I NOT use a Scent Circle?
Scent Circles are meant to hang freely. They’re cardboard infused with fragrance oil, so don’t lay them on surfaces. Let them hang and do their thing.
