Holy Crap we are in December!
So let’s recap, it feels like forever! Kaci had Friendsgiving on tuesday before the holiday. Everything went well i think. Thanksgiving we did at the post per usual. Did you know that most fast food places close about 5pm on thanksgiving. Which is great, but also hard. Because not everyone lives local and can go home to eat. So where are they suppose to eat? In our area, the Subway by the interstate is about the only place that is open. So many many years ago we started opening our house and then going to the post for thanksgiving. Some years have been nice and chill and some years no one can attend because they are all on crashes and crazy. This year we had a half and half. Everyone got to eat, some just had their dinner cut short.
I did not go out shopping, i miss the old days of black friday. I did online shopping lol. Then saturday we went up to Versailles ohio for jeremy’s aunts and uncles family thanksgiving/christmas. This is something we always look forward to. Some of this family we only see once a year. That was really nice.
Then we had the snow storm hit on that monday night. We got about 4 inches of snow. Which i was ok with it, because on this rare time, everyone was home. no one had school, no one had work. and that was such a great feeling to know it can snow and no one had to go anywhere.
We also ventured out to Winterfest. Jeremy froze, and weirdly enough i was not frozen. It was cold. And despite not liking christmas a ton, it is beautiful. We plan to go to Zoo Lights too. I haven’t done that since the kids were TINY!
But now here we are lol, the first weekend of Dec. How you feeling? How is your christmas shopping?
