The Whats of October

When I first sat down to write this, I thought…well, crap. All I did in October was work.

But then I started thinking about it, and apparently I did have a life outside the farm. Who knew? 😂

What I’m thinking…maybe

Jeremy and i are tossing around the idea of getting a toy hauler.

With no kids living with us anymore it makes it a little harder to just pick up and go away for a weekend like we use to.

I worry if the cat and dog are being well taken care of. And then is the house destroyed. I have no desire to take our dog to a boarder. To many like rules and stipulations and then a cage. But then trusting someone in our house. It is just a lot. Dang dog.

Sooooo, my suggestion was a toy hauler. This way we could bring the dog and the motorcycle. Leave ez in the camper where he is comfy and take the bike out.

So we are looking into maybe getting one of those and just enjoying everything still

What I’m Doing

Working! But also now unemployed lol.

I spent October working at the seasonal farm, four days a week. I’m not mad at all about it. I ended up really liking the job. And honestly hopeful they call me for other seasons.

I still don’t want like a job job. Little seasonal things i think are honestly great.

Matter a fact, i applied at a different location for dec work. we shall see.

And can we talk about the weather in Oct a little bit. Holy crap was it great! Like great temps, very little rain. Chill in the morning then warm afternoon. We enjoyed the heck out of it.

What Happened?

Trunk or treat happened.

And the weather was AMAZING! This was our 7th year and this was the best weather we have ever ever had. Seriously! Ezra came along, too, and I think his tongue dried out from licking everyone. Pretty sure he was snoring in the truck on the way home. 😂

What I’m Warming

Honestly, all old scents lol. Im trying to go through old bars because i have so many of them lol. So all old scents. I did try the ELF scent. It smelled SOOOOOOO good cold. But warmed wasn’t what i wanted.

But i am feeling all sorts of cozy scents right now too lol. I’m complicated.

What I Realized

I really like being empty nesters. Like i miss the kids, but i don’t. The house is calm, chill, easy, no stress, and let’s be real, no pants. It has just been nice.

I do worry about those kids of mine, lol. And the messages i get from them about things im like ummmm how are you living alone? but for the most part we are just enjoying the calm. Not only in the house…but im our brains.

And there ya have it.
