Room Size & How It Affects Your Scent

Size does matter…in a way.

This one is honestly simple, but it’s something people forget all the time.

Think of your scent like a bouncy ball.

If you throw a bouncy ball in a small box, it’s going to bounce everywhere — wall to wall, floor to ceiling — and keep going for a while.

If you throw that same ball in a large box, it might hit one wall and lose momentum.

Scent works the same way.
The bigger the space, the more that scent spreads out and gets “lost.”

Large room tips

When you have a larger space, sometimes you need to think in zones instead of one big area.

For example:

  • Kitchen → warmer with one scent
  • Living room → diffuser with another
  • Entryway → Air Mini with its own scent

Those scents usually won’t mix much (depending on the size of the space), but together they help the entire area feel scented.

Now, if you’re thinking:

“I just want ONE thing to scent the whole space…”

I get that.

Here are your best options:

Air Purifier (Air Quad)
Gives you airflow + multiple pods and can handle larger spaces.

Oil Diffuser
You have more control here. Want a stronger scent? Add more oil. Want it lighter? Use less.

Small Room tips

Small rooms are easy… but they can also be a little tricky.

Most of the time, one warmer is plenty.

But here’s the catch:
Big scents can feel REALLY big in a small space.

So instead of using a full cube:

  • Try half a cube
  • Or reduce what you normally use

Another great option is a mini warmer with a tabletop base.
Sometimes that’s the perfect level of scent for smaller rooms.

When it comes to scent, size really does matter.

And if your scent isn’t performing the way you expect, it might not be the product at all — it might just be the space you’re using it in.

If you ever have questions, just ask me. That is why im here. I truly love what i do and have been at it awhile.
