Warmers: Honest Answers to Common Questions
Do they get hot? Can i leave them on? How much wax and more. Let’s break it all down

How hot does a warmer get?
It does depend on the material — some warmers feel warmer than others.
But overall, Scentsy warmers are designed to melt wax at a lower temperature.
Think more “oh that’s warm” and less “that just burned me.”
Why is my warmer not melting wax?
Most of the time, this comes down to one of two things:
• You need a new bulb
• Placement in your home
If your warmer is near a window, fan, or vent, that cooler airflow can slow down or even prevent the wax from fully melting.
Can i leave my warmer on all day?
You totally can.
Since they operate at a lower temperature, they’re designed to be left on for longer periods of time — even all day or overnight.
Don’t just take my word for it:
How much wax should i use?
You don’t need to fill the whole dish.
I actually wrote a lot of wax help tips, including how to tell how much wax is needed for your warmer.
What size bulb do i need?
Each warmer uses a specific bulb size.
You can find it a few ways:
• On the bottom of the warmer
• On the silver band of the bulb
• On the white tag on the cord
• Or message me — I’ll tell you 😉
Can I use a higher wattage bulb?
No.
Warmers are designed for a specific wattage. Going higher can:
• Overheat or scorch your wax
• Damage or crack your warmer
Stick with the recommended bulb
Where should i place a warmer?
Anywhere you want — but ideally somewhere:
• Stable (not easy to bump or knock over)
• Away from heavy airflow (vents, fans, windows)
• In a space you actually spend time in
Placement makes a bigger difference than people think.
Are warmers safe for kids and pets?
I’m not a vet or pediatrician, so always use your best judgment.
What I can say is I’ve had warmers around kids and pets for years with no issues. They do get warm, but not like a traditional candle flame.
(And yes… my kids definitely stuck their fingers in it when they were little because they thought it was fun 😅)
Why does my scent come and go
If your scent isn’t performing like you expected, it’s usually one of three things:
• Airflow
• Humidity
• Noseblindness
